ALL ABOUT NIRMA

The number of students inquiring about Nirma is increasing day by day. It has become difficult for me to explain the same things all and again to everyone from the very beginning. I’m tired of appraising Nirma, and thus finally decided to pen down everything that I know and I have experienced as being a student of Nirma. It is a chunk of Clat takers who are keen to inquire about Nirma, as it is the only good choice leftover for a person, who could not land up in any of the top national law schools and also some private colleges like symbiosis because they messed up CLAT exam. Even I had the same story last year and thus I have sympathy with such students. I appreciate their efforts, but again not everyone is made for Nationals, not all students of India can study in Nlsiu or Nalsar, someone has to be there in other college too for their strength. Last year even after taking a one year, I could not make It to anywhere. There was no choice left, I spent my days crying, sufferin...

Internshp Experience at Arushi:- NGO for disabled situated in Bhopal

Process of application:  I applied by sending an email to them ( arushiorg@gmail.com ). I found this at their website. Within a few weeks I received a positive response from Sapna Gupta mam. - Duration: 4 weeks, 6 days a week. - First impression:  Arushi is a voluntary organization working for the upliftment of disabled children. Apart from providing basic education and training in life skills, the NGO also provides vocational training to them. Everything here is barrier free, and infrastructure is made in the style which would be liked by children. There are various therapy centres like speech therapy etc. - Main tasks:  The main task was to work upon ‘Talking books’. Talking books are recording of books in audio form for the visually impaired people. Audio books are then converted into a CD which is given to the blind person at ‘No profit no loss’ by charging bare minimum cost of CDs ranging from 10-15 Rs. This work was very interesting an...

CLAT CONTROVERSY

Common law admission test is conducted every year as an entrance exam for granting admission to prestigious National law universities of the country. CLAT is conducted every year by different law schools since the year 2008, because of the notification of the Government to conduct only one exam for all the national law universities. This year it was conducted by National law university Jodhpur (NLU J) and is hovered in a controversy because of it’s paper pattern. The students who have taken the exam this year accused the clat committee of Jodhpur of misrepresentation by providing wrong information and misguiding the candidates. Last year also WBNUJS Kolkata(who made the paper last year) was blamed for preparing a paper which could not have been completed on time by anyone and also for leaving answers with the questions in SET A and Set B marked and thereby discriminating with the students of other 2 sets. Even though clat 2011 paper was a disaster and spoiled the career of many ...

Individual rights vs. duties towards the society

Law is a framework having encapsulation of Rights and duties. It circumvent around protection of rights and its infringement. Rights and duties can complement each other, but when the situation in which only one can survive, arises then rights emerged as the sole guardian. Rights are legally protected (in the sense that any person violating the rights of others is guilty and punished under law) and recognised that is why special preference has been provided to some basic rights(right to life, right to profess any profession, right to religion etc) under the heading of Fundamental rights in Indian constitution. These rights are so authoritative that any law made in contravention of fundamental rights shall be declared void. Duties on the other hand are the do’s and don’ts and some rules and regulation which an ideal citizen should follow like stand straight during national anthem, respect elders etc, which if violated shall not be punished but if followed will help in setti...

27th Bar council of India moot court competition

Though Sunday is considered as Holiday(exceptions are always there and one of the exception is Nirma university, which made Sunday just like another busy day.). All the students were required to remain present even on Sunday otherwise suspension would be granted to the students who were remain absent. Since there is 85% attendance criteria so it is the only tool through which they try to maintain discipline by imposing strict rules and regulation by blackmailing the students about suspension. And suspension is not only blackmailed, but also granted. The recent example is not very far, The students who were absent on 27 th and 28 th jan (National conference organised by college) were suspended for 2 days in addition they were marked absent in 12 attendance. Finally the hectic schedule and complex time period culminated with the end of the 27 th Bar council of India moot court competition 2012. Nirma is the first private law university to hold bar council Moot court compet...

How to write an abstract?

An article which consists of whole body of the topic also includes abstract. Abstract is written immediately after introduction of the topic. Abstract is very important if you are going to present a paper, because every one first analyse your abstract and if they select it then only your article or paper  would be selected.  Though abstract is the short summary of the paper or article (full article would be of 4000-7000 words while abstract would be its short summary in 400-500 words), but it should not have the definition and description of the topic, or it should not have descriptions of whatever you have explained or mentioned in the full article or paper. But it should explain briefly about what is inside your article, how it is different from other paper and why it should be selected. Writing an abstract is not an easy task. It is complicated and difficult, Because it is very difficult to summarise 5000 words in 100-500 words. It is easy to explain one simple sen...

Divinity as the origin of law

Introduction In an age where doctrinal discussions are led by a positivism at times exaggerated, by overlooking the fundaments, we consider as suitable that juridical thinking return to its origins, the historical-philosophical and religious bases of the juridical phenomenon. Thus, the present article attempts to rediscover one of the sources of the authority of the law, one of the aspects that have helped it survive the passing of time: the divine origin attributed to rules of law.   Divinity as the origin of law:- Sir John salmond refers to 8 kinds of law- Imperative law, physical or scientific law, Natural law or divine law or moral law, conventional law, customary law, practical or technical law, International law, and Civil law. We are here to discuss about Divine law as the origin of law. Divine law is also called as Natural law or Moral law. It is a command of God imposed upon men. It is established by that reason by which the world is Governed. I...
