DataWind is a company manufacturing and marketing wireless web access products, originally founded in Montreal in 2001 by brothers suneet and raja tuli, now based in London. It operated its business only in UK till 2010. In 2010 it won Indian Government's proposal (human resources ministry) to develop low cost tablet or computer for Indian students and population. DataWind along with Indian Institute of Rajashthan developed student version called as Aakash, which is manufactured by Indian company Quad. Government gave it's assurance to purchase 10 millions aakash which costs only $35 or Rs.2,500 to distribute it for free among poor students. The project was developed conjointly with Indian Institute of Rajashthan under an e-learning programme to include college students. Wall street described Aakash as only low cost best 4 G tablet. Aakash is a student version of Android tablet computer. The commercial version of Aakash, which is more advanced than aakash will be marketed after few months in India and china as ubislate 7 at $60.
Aakash was officially launched in October 2011, and company has started its monetizing programme few days back by offering online booking. Right now only student version (Aakash) is available and pre orders can be placed for ubislate 7 on their website: http://www.akashtablet.com/

The good thing is that my college- Institute of law, Nirma university is providing the tablets to the students at 50% of the original cost price. That is available for only 1100 Rs. And almost 90% of the students from my section has placed an order for the same. I'm excited about owing a tablet PC. And waiting for it to arrive.

Procedure for Non-Compliance in holding Board Meetings

Under the Companies Act, 2013, no punishment is prescribed for non-compliance with Section 173(1) in holding at least four Board Meetings in a year, in such a manner that not more than 120 days shall intervene between two consecutive meetings of the Board. Since, no express provision has been laid down, to be followed in case of such failure, the inclusive and residuary provision of Section 450, Companies Act, 2013 shall be deem to be applicable.
